Florida Birds Photography Tour 2019 -Tour did SELL OUT-
About the 2019 tour (dates were Feb. 19-24, 2019)
Like a not-so-colorful, bald, migrating bird of some sort, I found myself escaping the winter again (for a week) on another wonderful trip to Florida. My group met on a Tuesday and we started photographing early the next morning. Everyone was impressed with the bird activity and my group started learning and getting cool images right away. Our group was a mix of nice people from all over the US and Canada. They never ceased to impress me with their photography ideas and a complete willingness to be happy in the pre-dawn hours and to chase after birds no matter where I led them to. The birds mostly cooperated as well. We found herons fishing, spoonbills preening, pelicans flying, cardinals singing, parents feeding chicks and even some awesome dewy spider webs and a squirrel or two. Florida always offers so much wildlife that it quickly becomes addicting! My group photographed tons of birds and much more during the week and I already can't wait to go there again with another group.
Thank you to the 8 of you who joined me in Fort Myers...you know who you are.
All images shown below were taken by me with a Canon 5D Mark IV and Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens, hand held.
To the 2019 group - I can't wait to photograph with each of you again someday!
I do plan to offer this tour again in 2020. Click here if you'd like to join us then.
