The Kaikoura Peninsula, New Zealand
We've recently returned from a 7 week trip to New Zealand and New Caledonia. I had been to New Zealand before but Anya hadn't and neither of us had been to New Caledonia. The image here is of a Dusky Dolphin showing off its acrobatic skills off the Kaikoura Peninsula of New Zealand. This is perhaps the best place in the world for the unforgettable experience of snorkeling with truly wild dolphins. Pods of Duskies can number in the hundreds and these are the most acrobatic dolphins on Earth. They leap, jump, somersault, flip and cavort endlessly. It is a thrill to be in the water with them and to then see them from the boat as well. I wish I could send out a picture or a hundred from every day of our Southern Hemisphere adventures, but you'd get tired of that. Truly awesome places! Click HERE to read the rest of the newsletter.
