Don's Destination- Patagonia
Ahhh...Patagonia. The word itself conjures up wondrous images of mountains, wildlife and adventure. I visited a few years ago but still love seeing my images from this park in southern Chile. I remember fighting an outright gale of a windstorm every day while in the area and hoping for a reflection in Lago Pehoe, which never happened. This is a windy place! But beautiful too. I was thrilled when at last the clouds parted and I was able to see those awesome peaks across the lake. This photo was taken while I stood in the ever present wind and I was glad to have a sturdy tripod for my camera. Best time to visit southern Chile and Patagonia is during their spring or early summer, which happens in September- November.
