Venice & the Dolomites Tour 2019 - Post-tour Report
About the 2019 tour (dates were May 27 - June 5, 2019)
This tour had quite a lot of magic in various ways. Mother Nature dealt me a handful for 10 days. She dealt my group umbrellas, raincoats, and puddles with reflections in Venice. Also in Venice we had the joy of Siena, my 1 year-old daughter and Anya, my wife to ensure that we got where we planned to go. The 2 of them left the rest of us after Venice and so did the rain. Once my group of 6 and I got to the Dolomites out came the sun and the high mountain glory was revealed in all it's magic. We had flowers pushing through snow, shark's teeth peaks rising through clouds, mountain reflections in calm lakes, horse parades, medieval castles and much, much more. All of us reveled in homey hotels and amazing food. The participants that accompanied me were full of magic as well. For me as leader, they were everything - flexible, fun, easy-going, adventurous, full of laughter and each showed me magic in various ways. I'll never forget the evening when Bill felt a bit miffed after he found out his free drink at the bar might be a glas wasser. Thanks to those of you who were there on this awesome inaugural adventure in Venice and the Dolomites!
