Venice & the Dolomites Tour 2021 - Post-tour Report   

About the 2021 tour (dates were Oct. 1-10, 2021)

This tour was my first since the pandemic forced most of us to cancel or reschedule major events in our lives. It was a great return to leading photography tours for me! My fun group of 5 participants shared tons of laughter, stories and photo adventures together. We ate lots of great Italian meals (and a few not-so-great Italian meals together - "you call that risotto?"). We hiked far and wide together, even walking 5 miles one day while chasing a sunrise that never materialized.  We paid for 3 days of glorious sunshine in Venice with some cloudy, rainy days in Castelrotto but...you can't have a "RAINBOW!" without the rain. A few clouds didn't dampen our spirits as we photographed the beauty that is the Dolomites. And when the sun finally popped out, our expectations were exceeded by the gorgeous scenes surrounding us at every turn. For me as a photography leader my group was everything I wanted them to be. They were flexible, fun, easy-going, adventurous, and full of laughter. Thanks to those of you who were with me on this wonderful little adventure in Venice and the Dolomites!
